A family business : Bernard Marot Father, Son and Grandson
In 1951, Bernard Marot, assisted by his son Bernard, created a seafood canning factory in Brittany, a west-side French region, at the Atlantic’s edge. Nine years later, they widened and opened a fish shop in Nantes, which became famous for its beautiful window display.
In 1970, the company was still growing and Bernard Marot became seafood wholesaler in the National Market of Nantes. In 1987, his grandson Bernard joins them after being working in a biscuit factory in Nantes for five years. The trio then established a mechanized fish soups workshop: first using an old factory in Malville, near Nantes, between land and sea, a new building has been created in 1996.
The product range expanded, now including a whole range of soups, seasonings, fish spread, vegetable tapenade, or confits. Combining innovation and tradition, the expertise and the quality of Bernard Marot’s products make the difference today.
