Jellied shanks, to discover!
Shanks are pork shanks (shortened shanks) in jelly (salted meat juice and frozen in pork gelatine).
This tender and mellow meat can be eaten cold on a salad, or reheated on a bed of sauerkraut or pan-fried seasonal vegetables. Shanks also go very well with white beans!
Fairly low in fat, shanks can be eaten without any remorse!
This jar will serve 2 to 4 people.
Recommended wine to accompany it: dry or semi-dry Vouvray!
