Elegant and collector's items, the metal barrels of the Puech Haut estate (Hérault) are decorated by international artists. Within them, you will find vintages of wine as pleasing as the visuals, in 3L plastic bags: white, red or rosé, you have the choice (however, not all wines may be available for the same artist).
Discover here the barrel decorated by Aski.
Château Puech Haut and its Bib'Art
The Bib'art adventure began in 2000, when Château Puech Haut imagined a designer 3L wine container that could proudly sit in the centre of a table.
The Château then decided to give carte blanche to international artists of all backgrounds and graphic styles to decorate the estate's wooden barrels. For the duration of the work, they share the same wooded "canvas". The decorations are then printed on the small metal barrels containing the wine pouch.
The Bib'Art Puech-Haut barrels are thus exact replicas of the barrels painted by the artists, a dreamlike sharing between wine and art. Each barrel is signed and numbered to the delight of collectors. In exchange, the artists receive the quantity of wine contained in the barrel: the contents against the container!
More than a hundred artists have already participated in this crazy adventure. At BienManger.com, we offer you the novelties every year, as well as the great classics.
The artist Art DMP
Nathalie Junis, aka Art DMP, paints in music as she dances to stimulate her creative ideas. The frantic rhythm of Cuban music creates in her the desire to improvise on the canvas. The use of acrylic allows her by its fast drying time a temporality as dynamic as that of dance. Painting then becomes a choreography. Always dancing and always with music, the artist widens her horizons and resumes the practice of piano while discovering the poscas. Art DMP decides to widen her field of possibilities by creating her first murals, then she meets new inspirations in the practice of portraiture. Close or distant friends, strangers met in the street, the artist chooses them for the strength and intensity of their gaze, but also their fragility and what they tell of the contradictions of this world. His warm colours then explode in a firework display that reconciles all the senses.
The wines Le Benjamin de Puech-Haut
The Puech Haut estate started out on virgin vineyard land near Montpellier, in the foothills of the Cévennes, and is today one of the largest vineyards in the region. Its 115 hectares benefit from a Mediterranean climate, on land identical to that of Chateauneuf-du-Pape: clay and limestone soils, covered with rolled pebbles.
Cultivated in sustainable agriculture, without chemical weed killers, the grape varieties are carefully chosen for their suitability to the terroir. The harvest of these PGI Languedoc wines is done at perfect maturity, by hand.
The vinification is done in wooden barrels or vats, depending on the colour, but always in separate varieties, to preserve all the typicity of the wine. Ageing in barrels imposes an astonishing singularity to the wines. A sure value of the Languedoc!
