The Costoluto Genovese variety produces dark red tomatoes that are strongly ribbed, flattened at the top and variable in shape. It is beef flesh type, with few seeds and juice but very fleshy. It has a very balanced flavour between acidity and sweetness. The flesh is sweet and very fragrant.
