Mazet Kaloudja "Praslines"
Mazet de Montargis
Exquisite toasted almonds covered with Gianduja

These Kaloudjas are one of Mazet's well kept secrets - and once you've tasted them, you'll certainly be wanting to keep it!
Delicately toasted almonds are covered with Gianduja milk chocolate to make this delicious modern delicacy, which is one of the latest Mazet creations.
Created during the reign of Louis XIII by the “officier de bouche” of the marshal Duke of Praslin, these roasted and caramelised almonds were named “Praslines”, and were extremely popular at the French court. This “officier de bouche” then moved to Montargis using the title “Confiserie du Roi” (“King's Confectioner's”) which was changed to “Mazet Confiseur” (“Mazet Confectioner”) in 1903. The recipe of the “Praslines”, which inspires the creations of “Mazet Confiseur”, remains a secret to this day.
