Cumin (Cuminum Cyminum) is of the same family than parsley. It is very common in India and in the Mediterranean region.
Tasting : offer some cumin grains to your guests as appetizers. It can also flavor breads, cheeses (Gouda) and various recipes (tagines, couscous, fried fish...). It is one of the spice used to prepare the arab ras el nanout or the indian curries. Grind just before using.
