Mirin is a sweet rice wine made from sticky rice fermented with a "Koji". Mirin is a basic ingredient of traditional Japanese cuisine similar to sake but slightly less alcoholic and sweeter.

How to use rice wine?
In cooking, Mirin gives the sweet and mild flavour typical of Japanese dishes. It also gives an appetizing lacquered and glossy appearance to your dishes. This Japanese rice vinegar is perfect for cooking authentic Asian recipes :  

Sauces such as teriyaki or yakitori
Marinades with Miso
Sushi rice
Salad dressings
Desserts for its sweet touch
Make your teriyaki sauce with Mirin: 
4 tablespoons of mirin
4 tablespoons soy sauce
10g of sugar
1 tablespoon of oil
Salt
Marinate your fish or meat in this sauce before grilling, or use it in a wok for your vegetables!
