Our domain

History

The origins of our House go back to the 17th century. Indeed ancestors of the GEOFFROY family arrived on the soil of Cumières, at the beginning of the 1600s. After that, the familial earthes were cultivated and transmitted from one generation to the next, to become the base of the Champagnes Geoffroy.

The soil

Our 13 hectare vintages spread out in the hearth of the Marne, close to Epernay.

Cumières is a small village of the Champagne appellation classified "Premier Cru". Situated between the Marne and the surrounding slopes, Cumières is one of the only one village of Champagne only benefiting from a particular microclimate with a generous share of sunshine.

It is also the reason why Cumières is always one of the first village in Champagne to vintage.

We are conscious of our long heritage and our aim is to preserve the sense of taste and of flavours that our forebears transmitted to us, and to respect the techniques they used. We recommend you to discover les secrets de préparation de nos champagnes.
