Our team

A passionnated wine-maker, Frédéric Brochet ...

I was born in 1972 in Poitiers. After a scientific A-levels at Camille Guerin College in Poitiers and a passage in "Agro" preparatory classes, I integrated the Higher training school of Cachan. After a thesis about the tasting, under the direction of Denis Dubourdieu and Patrick Mac.Leod, I obtained my Doctorate in the University of Bordeaux II My works were published in many scientific reviews crowned by the price Coup de Coeur of the Amorim Academy in 2001.

The wine is my passion. Straight after my studies, I decided to create the Ampelidae wine in 1995. Since that time I am managing the wine making and the culture of the vine.

... and a qualified and motivated team!

Ampelidae is initially a family project. My father preserved all his life some pieces of family vines which are at the base of this project with care. My mother is managing the Ampelidae field. My sister, Karen Teruel, occupies herself to the trade and marketing aspects of the field.

Our team also counts some famous specialists :
- Daniel Patour, from Charentes, in charge of the production from the vine up to the grape harvest,
- Jean-Marie Lépine, an artist from the beginning, Jean Marie is in charge of the work of the wine,
- Gérard Fernandez, from his nickname "Le coq nain", without any doubt the best hottor of the region,
- Christian Brault, the specialist of the bottling; a goldsmith !
