A strong traditionnal spice
The Mapuche Indian spice blend is a traditional recipe based on dried chilli (goat's horn chilli) that have been dried and smoked. Coriander grains were added then the mixture was toasted and salted. Today, only seventy families make this blend following the pure Mapuche traditional methods.
As with Espelette chilli, the goat's horn chilli is dried and ground into a powder. However its taste is more pronounced. One should use it sparingly, or the Land of fi re will awaken in you!
Suggestions to use:
Use it as the Espelette chilli pepper: on a mexican salad, made of grilled chicken, red beans and lettice, on your gazpacho, or even on your grilled meats during a BBQ.
