Maldon sea salt enjoys an international reputation for excellence. Its pyramidal crystals have a unique flavour and finesse, and, unlike most other salts, can be easily crushed by hand, allowing you to add the perfect amount of salt to your cooking or on to your plate. There is something extremely tactile and satisfying about feeling the delicate crystals crumble between your fingers.

Maldon salt is sought after by the best chefs for its inimitable flavour, its purity and its fine texture. It is perfect for recipes that demand a salt crust, such as baked fish and roast chicken.

Maldon salt has been gathered since 1882 from the salt marshes of Essex. The same methods are used today as were employed over a century ago. Neither the method of production, nor the quality have been changed.
