Porphyra purpurea, marketed as Nori, is a very delicate blade alga, with red or violet-coloured tones and an intense metallic gloss.

Due to its intense sea flavour and exceptional nutritional qualities, it is the most highly consumed seaweed in the world. It is rich in protein, fibre, vitamins and minerals. It is extremely rich in protein, as well as in phosphorus, iron, vitamins A, B, C and niacin.
