Closerie Mazeyres, a 9-hectare urban vineyard, is ideally located on a sandy, gravely outcrop typical of all the great Pomerol wines.

This vineyard, already listed in the 14th century, is the result of the division of Château Mazeyres. Owned by Clément Fayat since June, 2000, it has benefited from a substantial investment programme both in the vineyard and in the cellars to enhance its excellent quality potential.

This deep, silky wine, crafted after stringent selection, will rapidly gain particular favour with all lovers of Pomerol wines.

Tasting

An intense, deep garnet red colour. On the nose, the aromas of small, red soft fruit are intermingled with elegant and nicely melded woody touches. The clean initial taste has body, heralding a balanced, crisp wine with a silky tannin background before reaching a supple, smooth finish. It is an elegant, velvety, pleasurable wine to be enjoyed within the next year but with a cellaring potential of 4 t 5 years.
