The round, powerful bouquet blossoms into a full-bodied mid palate with a fine expression of dark fruit.
The vineyards of Château La Commanderie essentially consist of two plots, one adjoining Château Montrose, the other located on a gravely slope opposite the famous Château Lafite-Rothschild.
Since 1956, the estate has been in the hands of the Meffre family, which also owns other vineyards in Pauillac and Saint Julien.
Since 1996, Claude Meffre has devoted all his efforts to getting the very best out of this terroir. Masterful work in the vines has enabled a top quality harvest to be brought in to the cellars, equipped with state-of-the-art equipment.
