Beautiful ruby colour with flashes of violet and a fine nose of hazelnuts and roasted almonds

The estate of Les Eyquems is ideally situated on a plateau of gravel, clay and flint in the commune of Tauriac.

The Château has belonged to the Subercasaux family since 1753. Christian de Subercasaux is now in charge of the estate and is busy refurbishing the magnificent manor and continuing to plant the traditional Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon grape varieties.

The wine is aged traditionally and the final blend is made with a proportion of wine aged in new French oak barrels.

Grape Varieties

60% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Cabernet Franc.

Tasting

With its beautiful ruby colour with flashes of violet, Château Les Eyquems has a charming, fine nose of hazelnuts and roasted almonds. On the palate, it is clean and crisp with a smooth body backed by soft tannins and a well balanced, silky finish.
