Comtes de Champagne Taittinger 2005
Its aromatic qualities and lively flavours make this a truly remarkable champagne.
The 1998 harvest began in rainy mid-September, but the sun was quick to make a reappearance and the abundant harvest thrived. With its distinctive and unusual balance of alcohol and acidity, this champagne has a delicate, finely-balanced, and delightfully fresh flavour.
Pale golden yellow in colour with silvery highlights, the fine and abundant bubbles of this champagne give it a delectably light, mousse-like foam. It has delicate notes of white flowers, minerals, fresh almonds, vanilla and pine, and dominant notes of citrus fruit, lemon zest and grapefruit. Its finish is lively, long and complex. This is a truly exceptional champagne, with outstanding finesse.
