French Walnut Virgin Oil
A sweet oil, with a flavour between walnut and almond
The walnut oil is a Les Huiles Guénard speciality and which made their reputation. The walnut oil proposed is 100% virgin and walnuts are harvested in France for obtaining an exceptional product.
Walnuts are crushed in hydraulic press for not altered amandon qualities. It was slightly cooked which allow walnuts to develop all their flavours and to give a unique taste to the oil.
You can use this oil in seasoning or at the end of cooking but you should not warm it too much. It is rich in Omega 3.
Les Huiles Guénard Recipe: A melted chocolate-pear
- 100g of flour
- 50g of cornstarch
- 150g of sugar
- 1 yoghurt
- 2 eggs
- ½ bag of yeast
- 1 pear
- 200g of dark chocolate
- 10cl of Les Huiles Guénard walnut oil.
1- Preheat the oven in 180°C
2- Put your chocolate in a warm water. Clear the mixture of eggs and sugar with a whip (mix until it clears up).
3- Then add the yoghurt, the flour, the corn-starch and the yeast to the eggs. Afterwards, incorporate the walnut oil and the melted chocolate.
4- You can, fill your ramekins of the mixture and add lamellas of pears. And for finish, put it in your oven for 30 minutes.
