This special tasting box “dark chocolate and wine” contains one bottle of 50cl of Banyuls wine great vintage and 4 bars of 50g of dark chocolate 72% of cocoa minimum, made from 4 different plantations:

Menavava : The Madagascar Island hosts the Menavava plantation which cultivates the Trinitario cocoa, a very rare cocoa made from a crossbreeding of Criollo and Forastero cocoas. This Trinitario cocoa is full-bodied, very aromatic and has the stamp of vanilla.
Ocumare : Ocumare: the Ocumare plantation, in Venezuela allows the Criollo cocoa culture, and more particularly of its subspecies “Ocumare 61”. This rare, precious and marvellous cocoa develops its great range of sensitive and delicate shades.
Uba Budo : Uba Budo: São Tomé & Principe is the second smallest African country. It is called the island in “the middle of the world” or “the chocolate Island”. It has hosted the Roça Uba Budo plantation in which the Forastero cocoa is cultivated. The Forastero cocoa presents fresh, pure and spicy overtones with unique aromas of exotic woods.
Java : Java: Java is an Indonesian plantation in which the Criollo cocoa is cultivated. This cocoa is very rare and precious, sensitive and delicate; it needs a lot of care, perfect climatic conditions and suitable soils.

With this tasting box, you will discover and compare the very specific shades of each of these great cocoas. The Banyuls wonderfully accompanies these fine and crunchy chocolate bars, rich in flavours and aromas.
