The Pommé is an old-fashioned jam from our cider-producing regions, resulting from 24-hours of cooking apples with some “Cidre Doux” (sweet cider) in a huge copper cauldron.

The “Veillée du Pommé” (Pommé’s evening”) was an important celebration in the year for our ancestors who loved to meet up together between neighbours and friends to celebrate the “Remouvrie”. While some stirred the Pommé, others played cards, sang songs or danced on local music tune.

Nicknamed the “Butter of the Poor” during times of war and crisis, the farmers served Pommé spread on a slice of bread to replace butter, a very sought-after ingredient at these times. The Pommé, caramelized by long cooking, can be savoured as a dessert on a slice of bread, on pancakes, crepes…

First cider cellar awarded by the Excellence medal of Paris in 2000, the “Ferme du Pressoir” (Pressing shed’s Farm) gives you all of its know-how since 1871 for making traditional products of great quality.

Composition : This jar of 250g is obtained from 100cl of cider apple juice and 350g of apples.
