Nacional Arriba Cocoa

Produced exclusively in Ecuador, the Nacional Arriba is very close to the Criollo. It has a strong aroma with flowery overtones. The cultivation zones are, amongst others Los Rios, Esmeraldas and Guayas. Only 2% of the worldwide production comes from this great vintage.

Hacienda Iara plantation

Set in the middle of Los Rios province, the Hacienda Iara produces organic Nacional Arriba cocoa, which has been awarded with the quality award “Fine grande”. In this plantation, the fragile cocao trees grow on an especially fertile soil, imbibing the scents of exotic fruits such as passion fruit, papaya, and Ecuadorian banana. They give the beautiful cocoa fruit and pods an inimitable, highly perfumed flavour.
