Aniseed is slightly sweet, with very distinct liquorice overtones. Use it to flavour your pastries and delicacies, your soups, stews, fish stuffing, breads and fromage frais. It can be combined with fennel.
On the other hand, it is considered as a smooth expectorant and it can be, in this way, added to herbal tea.
