A pleasant oil with a strong taste between walnut and almond. It goes perfectly with rice based dishes, for instance, rice salad, fish or seafood and white rice, wild rice, etc. This oil is quite thick, both sweet and tasty. Less bitter than walnut oil, it goes very well with balsamic vinegar, giving an acid touch to the dressing of all your salads (with citrus fruits for example). It also enhances all corn based dishes (polenta, tortillas, grains of corn…). We love to cook it with hard cheese or mushrooms.

Health interests

Rich in polyunsaturated and monounsaturated fatty acids, the virgin pecan nut oil is very balanced. Source of vitamins E, B1 and zinc, it has a very important role for the cellular rejuvenating, and for a smooth functioning of the immune system.

The oil mill from Beaujolais

The oil mill from Beaujolais is born from a fortuitous discovery in 1981 of a traditional oil manufacture workshop of the 19th century. A few years are enough to drive Mireille and Jean-Marc on a real passion and make them world-famous throwsters, and this, thanks to their high quality products is used by many star Chefs (Troisgros, Ducasse, Blanc, the Pourcel brothers, Gagnaire…) A nut, or a fruit, an oil, that is the credo of the oil mill. So, not blended, only first pressing virgin oil, for a preserved taste.
