Every year, to celebrate the new tea harvest, inhabitants of the Taiwan mountains offer Dim Sum Cha to their loved ones. Dim sum Cha literally means "The tea that comes from the heart". This lightly fermented tea, which is well-known on the island, is prepared with the first Bao Zhong leaves and rose buds plucked the same day from bushes growing around the houses. The tea leaves and the rose buds are then placed in small bamboo baskets, identical to those used for cooking. After several days, the still fresh leaves become impregnated with the subtle perfume of the rose buds.

The Dim Sum Cha contains 50g of tea and 50g of rose buds.
