The Bruichladdich distillery was created in 1881 on the Islay Island on the Scotland west coast. Since 2001, its production director is the famous Jim Mac Erwan, a local Islay figure and three times awarded the title of Distiller of the year.

This un-chillfiltered single malt is matured in bourbon casks and then finished in Sauternes casks. That gives it a more complex structure and fruits notes.

Tasting note : this single malt owes to its Island origins a fresh, salted and ioded nose. In the mouth, it is smooth, malted and smoked with liquorice and matured fruits notes.

This whisky has been selected by Christian Chavignon in le Relais Saint Roch, a whisky expert known for its 800 whiskies list.
