Tonka beans (faba tonka) come from South America. You might not have tasted them previously, but we urge you to try them because they add a fabulously warm, aromatic touch to sweet dishes - totally delicious!
Tasting : very aromatic with vanilla, almond and tobacco notes. Tonka beans can be used, grated as you would a nutmeg, to add flavour to cakes, custards and puddings.
